You are one of three full-time church musicians who together develop the musical life of the parishes. The position is focused on organ playing during services and church ceremonies. Apply now or by March 31st at the latest!

We live in a time of spiritual longing while many find themselves far from the church's inner life. We want to be part of God's mission in the world: that people may come to know Jesus Christ. We believe that you long to meet people in both everyday life and celebration, joy and sorrow, and that with music as a tool, you will help to say: Come and see! (John 1:46). In doing so, you open pathways to faith and community for the people you meet.

You have a broad church music background and find joy in both organ and piano playing as well as leading choirs.

The position includes the following:

  • Participate in the parish's services on weekends and weekdays, as well as church ceremonies.
  • Parish responsibility for Häggeby and Skokloster parishes.
  • Lead choirs.
  • Participate in: confirmation classes, concerts, Friday gatherings, nursing homes.
  • Teach organ students.
  • Common tasks that church musicians have.

You have the Church of Sweden's church musician exam at level B. Welcome to a team of about 40 people, three musicians with full-time positions, and two choir leaders.

We are looking for someone who

  • Plans their work based on the parishes' conditions and visions.
  • Enjoys working flexibly and solution-focused.
  • Takes responsibility within their field of work, considering the whole.
  • Has good administrative skills.
  • Is involved in networks within their field of work.
  • Is independent when needed, enjoys collaborating with others, and inspires in processes.

and contributes to developing the church's mission in Håbo parish.
